Our craft project received a wonderful injection when Mandy Haw of Sani2C graciously commissioned our ladies to make little bike bracelets for every one of the 4500 riders that rode the Sani2C race this year.  This was a wonderful income into the pockets of this group of unemployed women and the bracelets were very well received each morning when Mary and Jen woke up early with the sun for three days, to hand them out just as the riders were leaving the McKenzie village on the second morning of the ride.

THE BAD NEWS IS …

Our telephone lines have been stolen and we have been told in no uncertain terms by Telkom that they will not be replacing the lines so HNO is without land lines. We have however been approached by a very kind lady involved in a satellite phone company who might be helping us find a solution. More about that next time.
