It is with sad hearts that we said “goodbye” to Carol Luyt as she and Neil move into a new season in their lives. They have relocated to a retirement village, which fortunately, is in Pietermaritzburg, so we know it is more “au revoir” than goodbye. On the 27th of March we celebrated, with quite a few tears, the 9 years that they have faithfully served HNO and wished them well for the new move with many promises elicited that they would return often to visit.
Carol says she is not good at public speaking, but she certainly proved that wrong when she stood up to make her farewell speech. She made us laugh and she made us cry.
And nobody was going to stop her joining in the dancing and singing… And the staff proved how much they care with a beautiful blanket to keep the Luyts warm in the forthcoming Pietermaritzburg winters.
You will be greatly missed, Carol. We wish you and Neil God’s richest blessings in the years ahead with many opportunities to continue with your very unique and special giftings in service to others.
